Fire kills three people in Indonesia after protesters storm council buildings in the wake of driver’s death | Indonesia

At least three people were killed by a fire initiated by protesters at a council building in Makassar, Indonesia, and then a motorcycle taxi driver hit by a police vehicle.

On Friday, a concert managed by a police tactical vehicle during the major cities in Indonesia, including the capital Jakarta, was shook protests after the spread of a motorcycle driver.

The protests in Makassar in Eastern Indonesia landed outside the chaos outside the provincial and local city council buildings, and both fire and vehicles were flaming as protesters throwing rock and Molotov cocktails.

In his statement to AFP, his secretary Rahmat Mappatoba was killed as a result of a fire in the Makassar City Council building.

“They were stuck in the burning building,” he said, accusing the protesters of throwing the office to fire the building.

“This is beyond our prediction. Usually during a demonstration, protesters only threw rocks or burned a tire in front of the office. They never threw it into the building or did not burn it.”

Two of the victims were working in the local council and the other was the officer. One died in two scenes while one died in the hospital.

Authorized, at least four people were injured in the fire and treated in the hospital, he said.

Images showed that the provincial council exacerbated overnight, but the fire has been extinguished since then.
