Second royal wedding ‘confirmed’ to take place this summer | Royal | News

Lady Marina Windsor will marry her fiancé Nico Macauley on June 20, according to wedding records.
Lady Marina, 33, is the eldest daughter of the Earl and Countess of St Andrews; Younger sister of Edward Windsor and older sister of Lord Downpatrick and Lady Amelia Windsor. She is the granddaughter of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, and the late Katharine, Duchess of Kent.
Lady Marina and Nico announced their engagement via Instagram on June 8 last year, which coincided with her grandparents’ wedding anniversary. Confirming the news, Marina shared a gallery of photos online with a short and simple caption: “I’m so happy.”
Multiple members of the Royal Family commented on the post. Marina’s brother Lord Downpatrick wrote: “Here the hazing begins”, while her sister Lady Amelia Windsor commented: “Yippeeee!” Meanwhile, Princess Alexandra’s two grandchildren also sent their support. Zenouska Mowatt wrote: “I love you baby” and Flora Vesterberg added: “I love you! Happiest news xx”
Lady Marina was 25th in line to the throne until 2008. After his conversion to the Roman Catholic Church, he lost his place in the line of succession along with his older brother. Their younger sister, Lady Amelia, retains her place on the throne because she has not converted.
The suggestion that Marina and Nico could get married on June 20 comes after it was announced that Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling will get married on June 6.
The wedding will take place privately at All Saints Church in Cirencester Kemble and will be attended by many members of the Royal Family.
A statement released yesterday read: “Mr Peter Phillips, son of the Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and Miss Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Miss Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today announced their wedding date. The summer wedding will take place in a private ceremony at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester on Saturday, June 6, 2026.”
This will be Peter’s second marriage as he was previously married to Autumn Phillips at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in 2008. The couple divorced in June 2021, but it appears their separation was amicable as they continue to co-parent their two daughters, Savannah and Isla Phillips.
