Teenager assaulted during burglary at home

Police are appealing for information after a 17-year-old boy was attacked during a burglary at a home in Leicester.
Leicestershire Police believe four men targeted the property on Roundhill Road at around 20:45 GMT on Monday.
The 17-year-old was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-threatening.
Police said there will be an increased police presence in the area during the investigation.

Inspector Charles Edwards, East Leicester neighborhood policing area commander, said: “The investigation is still in its early stages but officers are trying to establish exactly what happened.
“We understand that this incident has caused concern in the local community. We would like to reassure you that police officers will conduct a thorough investigation.”
Police are appealing for anyone with information or footage to come forward.
