Teens charged over break-ins across city’s south
Two teenagers have been charged with a string of alleged burglaries south of Brisbane ahead of Christmas.
A 15-year-old boy from Cannon Hill is charged with 30 felonies, including 12 counts of entering a dwelling and 8 counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 14-year-old from Inala faces eight charges, including three counts of entering a dwelling and three counts of unlawful operation of a motor vehicle.
A 15-year-old boy from Cannon Hill and a 14-year-old boy from Inala were charged over a string of trespassing charges.
Police allege the 15-year-old’s offending spanned from December 10 to December 26, while the 14-year-old was also allegedly involved between December 20 and Boxing Day.
The burglaries and attempted thefts are alleged to have occurred in Cannon Hill, Hawthorne, Murarrie, Annerley, Camp Hill and Holland Park.
Dutton Park Criminal Investigation Branch officers arrested the boys, who are expected to appear in the Brisbane Children’s Court on Saturday.
Investigations are ongoing and police have appealed for anyone with relevant information or vision to get in touch.
