Teens guilty of murder of manslaughter

The 14-year-old, who boasted in a rap video that “We just committed a murder,” was found guilty of killing Ibrahima Seck and two other teenagers who encouraged and helped him.

Ibrahima Seck, 14, was attacked on June 8 as he went to play football with friends in New Moston. He later died in hospital due to a single stab wound to his heart.

Both women were found guilty of assisting the offender after removing the teenagers from the scene and providing them with a change of clothes.

The hearing heard there were “bad feelings” between the two groups of friends in the days and weeks before the incident.

One of the boys shot a video, later recovered by police, in which he boasted that “we just committed a murder.”

Ibrahima encountered the other group on June 8, 2025, while he was on his way to play football with his brothers and friends. There was a brief argument between one of İbrahima’s friends and a child in the other group.

As Ibrahima fled, the trio followed him and caught up with him in the parking lot of the Fairway Inn Public House.

The trial heard Ibrahima slipped on the ground and was fatally stabbed by one of the 14-year-old boys.

While Ibrahima sought help from a nearby house, the three children ran away and were removed from the area.

Officers stopped Kerri Dobson’s vehicle at 6pm that evening. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said the 37-year-old Manchester man deleted items from his phone as the officer approached, saying he was “clearly trying to conceal the help he was providing to young people”.

The woman, 39-year-old Naomi Heavens from Manchester, was also found guilty of assisting an offender.

The boy, then 16, and one of the 14-year-olds turned themselves in at the Central Park Police Station on June 8, 2025, and the second 14-year-old was arrested at his home address the next day.
