Of course, Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay has been brazenly trading under this lofty appellation for many years. Queues during peak summer months often result in road closures and so many towels on the sand that you can’t gauge how white the sand actually is. Oh, and of course it’s as white as at least half a dozen Jervis Bay beaches, not to mention a distant placeholder for our truly whitest beaches, including Lucky Bay near Esperance in Western Australia.
