Speaking at an event in Pennsylvania, Vance claimed “simple economics” were behind why buying a home in the US had become so expensive, and his response went viral because it was…weird.
“Why have rents dropped for four months in a row? We’re starting to move these illegal aliens out of the United States,” Vance said.

“These criminals, those gang members, people who are taking over homes that should go to the people in this room, your children and your grandchildren,” Vance continued, gesturing toward the crowd.

“It’s simple economics. If there are fewer people, fewer illegal aliens trying to buy homes, that means American citizens will eventually be able to buy a home again. It’s very, very simple economics,” he said.
