Hyderabad: The long-desired dream of residents of Khammam district will become a reality with the State government sanctioning Rs.594 billion for expansion of five important road corridors in Khammam district.

A new era is about to begin in the district’s transportation system. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka took an extraordinary initiative, taking transformation from remote villages to city centers and focusing on comprehensive regional development.

With his persistent efforts, the government sanctioned a whopping Rs.594 billion for widening of five major roads in the region. These roads will be converted into 4-lane highways.

From the first day of the establishment of the people’s government, Vikramarka gave priority to the development of Khammam region. His role was crucial in securing funding for these projects under the Hybrid Revenue Model (HAM).

The aim of these road expansions is to improve connectivity between rural and urban areas and facilitate the smooth transportation of agricultural products. These developments will significantly increase connectivity in Khammam, Wyra and Madhira constituencies, strengthening the local economy. Reducing transportation costs will benefit both farmers and traders.

The five important roads include Wyra to Jaggayyapeta Road, Madhira to Thootikuntla Road, Madhira to Errupalem Road, Khammam to Bonakal Road and Bonakal-Allapadu and Rayannapeta-Vangaveedu Road connecting the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway.

These projects are expected to significantly improve infrastructure, strengthen regional connectivity and accelerate economic growth in the Khammam region.
