Telangana HC: Police Not Recovery Agents

Haydarabad: On Tuesday, the Supreme Court of TaLangana said the police did not have recovery agencies and could not be approached to get credit and debts back. The court said that citizens should not approach the police on every issue and that they should be a settlement center.
Justice T. Vinod Kumar observed that a common tendency has developed between people, and observed that concerns about money recovery, land disputes and family problems will be solved by offering commissions to the police to do their jobs.
The judge said that the police’s job was to continue the law and order and crime investigation and that the police stations were not for the resolution of civil disputes.
Justice Vinod Kumar made an observation while giving a petition to refuse to save a furnace against a debtor who did not pay his money. The lender, who opened the petition, asked the police to file a cheat case against the debtor and send it to arrest. Police rejected the complaint of the lender approaching the Supreme Court.
The judge did not allow the request for the petition and suggested that he filed a money rescue in front of the civilian court.
