Telangana pharma factory blast: Death toll rises to 35, DNA identification under way at Patancheru hospital

After DNA matches are verified with relatives, the bodies will be delivered to their indigenous places for transportation,” Redi said.

A private judicial team from Osmania General Hospital was brought to help collect after death and DNA samples. So far, the autopsy has been completed in 15 bodies and only four victims have been identified. The remaining objects are subjected to DNA profile.

“The collected DNA is sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for profile creating and comparison with reference examples from family members to verify identities. Tarangana has not witnessed a mass wounded recently. This will be a very challenging task for all of us.

Medical Education Director (DME) A. Narendra Kumar and Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP) Commissioner Authorities from the State Health Department, including Ajaya Kumar, were found in the hospital during the night. They closely monitor the situation and coordinate their response efforts.
