Telangana Waqf Body Disappointed With SC Ruling

Haydarabad: On Tuesday, the Foundation Law Protest Committee for TaLANgana (WAPCTG) expressed disappointment of the Supreme Court’s temporary decision on the 2025 Foundation (Amendment) Law.
The committee, defined as incomplete and unsatisfactory, was of the opinion that the temporary order provided some relief in several issues, but could not address the key constitutional concerns that arose by petitions.
Wapctg meetingor Müftü Omar Abedeen, who addressed a press conference in Haydarabad, said that there are some points that need an explanation and that the committee would approach the Apex court again.
The SC said that the central government would create a mechanism to decide who has been accepted as a practical Muslim to make a donation for the last five years. “We believe this is unacceptable because everyone who reads Kalima Shahadat is immediately Muslim,” he said.
According to WAPCTG, which functions under the supervision of the Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), the Supreme Court limited four members at the central WAQF Council and three non -Muslim representations on the Waqf Board.
However, refusing to stop the law, ‘by the user’ defining the vayna and making a written Weqf deed compulsory, including various controversial provisions, he said. “This will threaten to protect Islamic legal traditions and foundation properties,” he said.
Meanwhile, AIMPLB called on an online meeting with members of the Executive and Working Committee to decide the future action process. Save Weqf announced that the campaign will continue with full force. The second stage of the campaign, which was launched on September 1, is the demonstrations, weqf walks and round table meetings. On November 16, Ramlila Maidan in Delhi will result in a large rally with a country -wide participation.
AIMPLB members Dr. Mateen Quadri, Dr. MOHD. Mushtaq, Prof.Dr. Quddusia Sultana and Jaleesa Sultana, the common convention Mohd Rafathullah Shahid Wapctg members and others attended.
