Telethon 2025: The countdown is on, in just a few short hours the biggest annual charity event will kick off

It’s almost show time.

Perth’s biggest weekend of the year is about to begin and Telethon 2025 is just hours away before the RAC Arena lights up.

And if history is anything to go by, the entire State will be cheering when the Telethon total is displayed on the screen on Sunday night.

The glittering 26-hour broadcast kicks off from 7pm and promises a star-studded mix of music, laughter, tears and generosity.

Telethon has been a staple of WA life since 1968 and last year raised a record-breaking $83 million for children’s hospitals, research and community programs.

Organizers hope to go even bigger this year, with funds going to more than 160 local charities supporting sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged children across the state.

The broadcast will feature TV favorites Manu Feildel, Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington, The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies, Better Homes and Gardens stars Johanna Griggs, Dr Harry Cooper, Adam Dovile, Charlie Albone and Juliet Love.

Home and Away stars will also attend the broadcast.

Former Boyzone star Ronan Keating, who is also a judge on The Voice Australia, will perform in both the opening and closing shows.

Former Australian Idol contestants Shannon Noll, Rob Mills, Dami Im and Casey Donovan will also appear, along with new star Gisella Colletti. Also performing will be The Ten Tenors, The 60 Four and children’s TV entertainer Emma Memma, formerly of The Wiggles.

While celebrity arrivals, live performances and cheeky on-air antics always make the headlines, it’s the people behind the donations that really keep the Telethon’s heart beating – from kids emptying their piggy banks to businessmen and women writing six-figure cheques.

Channel 7 and 7plus will broadcast every minute of the Telethon starting at 19.00 this evening.

You can donate by calling 1300 737 507. Donations can be made by phone or credit card. You can also donate by check or money order by sending it to Telethon at PO Box 1777, DC Osborne Park, WA, 6916.
