Telethon beneficiary Dandelions WA aim to pack more than 17,000 free backpacks to give kids best school start

“Pack with love, not quickly.”
This is the slogan plastered in the table and cabinets in the Dandelions WA.
The philanthropy is completely carried out by volunteers and carefully packages backpacks with brand new school supplies to give it to children in need every year, so that they make the best start to the new school year.
Return to school first started in 2020, 220 backpacks were packed, and otherwise sent to children who will go without.
Last year, with the help of Telethon, they delivered more than 15,000 backpacks to primary and high school students in more than 420 schools and 90 agents.
“The children we support lived a disadvantaged life. Rarely they are getting something new, Vak
“They were always different children in the school yard, they avoided the school yard because of the regiment.
“Therefore, we give them a brand new backpack, open the first day and sit in the classroom and have every element of all other children, give them a sense of belonging, and give them a sense of being equal.”
New pencils, pens, laptops, lunch boxes, water bottles, hygiene kits and more exploding bags reach all the corners of the state from Kununurra to the Gibson Desert and Esperance.
One of the many programs that Telethon supports to eliminate the obstacles to learning, to continue school and to ensure the best possible start of every child.
“We didn’t imagine that we would be suitable for such a thing to be considered as Telethon’s beneficiary. I didn’t think that,” he said.
“It was amazing to be a part of such a wonderful team. And it was really humble to think that our five -year little dribbles were now part of this wonderful team.”
Feed It Forward Volunteer Triona McGee said that the non -profit organization with Dandelions WA allows both organizations to help both more families have difficulty.
“The families who hit me the most were the children who could really help return to school in tents, and they felt just like all the other children starting from the first day,” he said.
This year’s target is 17,000 backpacks. With 130 volunteers and a small army of 15 weeks, Mrs. Young is no doubt that they will do the job with love.
