Tenerife weather LIVE: Snow in Canary Islands – Lanzarote, Fuerteventura flights cancelled | World | News

More than 36 flights were cancelled, particularly affecting Tenerife North (TFN) and Tenerife South (TFS) airports. Most of the cancellations involved inter-island services, but some international flights were also diverted due to strong winds, poor visibility and heavy rain due to the storm.
Tenerife North saw the biggest impact; Multiple routes between islands such as El Hierro, La Palma and Lanzarote were affected, while many international flights were diverted to South Tenerife or Gran Canaria, including services originally destined for La Palma from Frankfurt, Zurich and Madrid.
Airlines have warned passengers to check flight status before travelling, as orange weather warnings remain in place until Saturday, March 21, and conditions are expected to gradually improve from Sunday.
