Another explosion occurred in 2014
In April 2014, an explosion occurred at the Accurate Energetic Systems facility. 1 person died and 3 people were injured in the explosion. The explosion occurred in a unit operated by a company called Rio Ammunition. Officials at the time said the Rio Ammunition building was “substantially destroyed” during the explosion.
