‘Terrifying’ moment jockeys swerve to narrowly avoid an oncoming AMBULANCE

Eight jockeys were forced to swerve dramatically to avoid a head-on collision with an ambulance in what has been dubbed the most horrific near miss in racing history.
The dramatic incident occurred shortly after the start of racing at Evangeline Downs, USA, on Saturday night.
Typically, ambulances follow a horse race off the track in case of an emergency. However, shortly after 8pm last night during the race in Louisiana, the car found itself directly on the track and headed towards the racers.
In video of the incident posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, the jockeys can be seen dragging their horses out of the way with incredible drag just moments before the head-on collision.
The race was eventually abandoned, although fortunately no horses or jockeys were injured.
The moment left experts in disbelief, and many took to social media to express their thoughts.
