An unidentified terrorist, who was trying to infiltrate Jammu and Kashmir, was killed near the Line of Control (LoC) at Nowshera in Jammu division of Rajouri on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

According to the army, movement of two terrorists was observed along the LoC in Nowshera, Jhangar district around 3 pm following “credible intelligence inputs”.

“Responding with swift and calibrated combat action, alert troops of the Army’s White Knight Corps quickly and successfully engaged and thwarted the infiltration attempt. In the ensuing firefight, a Pakistan-backed terrorist was neutralized and effectively prevented any breach of the LoC,” the Army said.

The military suspected the presence of another terrorist in the area. The army stated that “the troops have been redirected to search for the second terrorist and to establish relentless dominance in the region, supported by integrated land and air surveillance.” It was stated that a solid operational stance and high alert continues in the sector.

Meanwhile, the White Knight Corps and all ranks paid tribute to 9 Punjabi Sepoy Akshit Sharma, who made the ultimate sacrifice during a training exercise in Jammu’s Rajouri district on Tuesday. “In this moment of deep sorrow, the White Knight Order stands in solidarity with the grieving family and prays for strength and courage for their brave-hearted loved ones,” the Army said.
