Tesla hits crowd outside Redlands bar, gunfire erupts injuring 4 people

Video captured the chaotic moment when a car plowed into a crowd gathered outside a bar in San Bernardino County, Calif., over the weekend, triggering gunfire and sending bystanders scrambling for safety.

Four people were hospitalized following a suspected attempted vehicular homicide early Sunday morning, the Redlands Police Department said Monday.

The incident reportedly stemmed from an argument between several people outside The Underground, a popular restaurant and bar, shortly before 1.30am.

Authorities said one of the people involved in the incident got into a 2022 model Tesla and drove away, returning minutes later and “hitting four people standing on the street in front of the bar.”

The driver then lost control and hit the curb. Despite the impact, the car sped away from the scene, apparently leaving behind a trail of leaking fluid.

Police said that after the first attack, an “unknown suspect” pulled out a gun and opened fire left and right, breaking the window of one business and damaging the door of another.

Police confirmed there were no reports of anyone shot. However, as a result of the hit and run, 4 people were seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been announced regarding the attack.

Bruno, the business owner whose window was broken as a result of the gunfire, said: Fox 11 Los Angeles It was stated that a similar incident had occurred in the region before.

The area of ​​downtown Redlands is known for frequent fights and disturbances, with some describing it as “a place where people go after getting kicked out of other bars.”
