TFCC Elections Set for December 28 After Months of Delay and Internal Feud

After a delay of several months, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce elections will be held on December 28.
“The purpose of the elections is to elect a new body to lead the apex body,” says a source. While some members decided to hold a general body meeting, chairman Bharat Bhushan called for elections. “Even the general assembly meeting scheduled for November 26 was intended to discuss elections, but the current body declared elections and nullified these plans,” the source adds.
For the past few months, members have been divided over whether to continue the mandate of the current body or call new elections. “The current board has claimed that many important issues are pending and only senior members can resolve the issues by understanding them better,” the source adds.
Meanwhile, the rival group claimed that his continuation of the mandate was illegal and demanded elections on July 31. “As more members sought an election for an extension, the body announced the elections, ending the heated debate in the sector,” he notes.
