TGPCB Oversees Demo of Mobile Waste Vehicle

Hyderabad: Telangana Pollution Control Board (TGPCB) inspected the demonstration of Switcheko’s mobile waste processing vehicle in Sanathnagar on Saturday. The unit was developed to process multiple categories of waste at source, including plastic, cardboard, e-waste, sanitary waste, textile and food waste.
Minister Konda Surekha and Danasari Anasuya Seethakka were present at the demonstration and asked the officials to prepare plans to implement it across the state.
According to officials, the vehicle is designed to perform operations such as baling, shredding and recycling on-site, allowing waste to be processed instantly without being transported to central facilities. TGPCB officials observed the entire workflow during the demonstration and examined how the system can support decentralized waste management.
Switcheko representatives said the unit helps convert collected waste into usable material through on-site processing, reducing pressure on existing waste processing systems.
