TGSPDCL assistant engineer caught accepting ₹16,000 bribe

An Assistant Engineer (Operations) of Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹16,000 in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The accused official was identified as Mamidisetti Srinivasa Rao, who worked in the Masab Tank Division. According to the ACB, the complainant was asked for a bribe to prevent coercive action being taken in relation to a seized electricity meter.
