Thailand threatens Cambodia after mine hurts soldier

The Thai Army warns that the Thai soldiers who patrolled on the border of the two countries may have to “use their right to defense” in response to the ongoing events in which they accused Cambodia, where they were wounded by land.
A statement from the Thai spokesman Major General Winthai Suvaree, a sergeant on Tuesday morning, “when a personnel stepped on the Cambodian side stepped into a personnel anti-Kara article, the left ankle patrol with seven soldiers resulted in violent injuries”.
The event and Thai reaction show the insecurity of the ceasefire that came into force in order to end the five -day armed conflicts in the controversial region along the borders on July 29th.
The fight killed dozens of people on both sides, including civilians and was displaced more than 260,000.
Tuesday’s black mining event was the fourth of its species within about a month and the second since the ceasefire.
It is about 1 km from Ta Muen Thom Temple, which Thailand claims to be in Surin.
The region, which was a heavy struggle scene in July, is one of the few people along the border that both countries claim on its own.
In another controversial region on Saturday, Thai Sergeant Major was subjected to serious injuries, including losing his left foot, while two privileges were less injured.
“This is a clear evidence that the Cambodian side has violated the ceasefire agreement and does not respect the Otwa Congress, which prohibits the use and placement of anti -Personnel land mines, especially the Cambodian side.” He said.
Both countries are parties to the international agreement.
In a statement, he recorded numerous similar events and declared that Thailand “constantly depends on peaceful approaches and is not the beginning.”
“However, if the conditions become challenging, Thailand may have to use the right to defense in accordance with the principles of international law in order to solve the situations that cause the loss of personnel by the cease -fire agreements and the violations of the Cambodian military forces.”
“The Ministry of Defense of the Cambodian Defense rejects the unquestionable, wrong and deliberate misleading claims on the Thai side of the Thai soldiers categorically and precisely,” he said.
Cambodia and Thailand clashed over 800 km in the past.
In a conflict that created a diplomatic crack and created the internal politics of Thailand, tensions have been growing since May, when a Cambodian soldier was killed.
