The 10 friendliest countries in the world named – Japan and UK absent | UK | News

Beaches, accommodation and cuisine are important parts of any holiday or travel experience. But a country’s people and atmosphere can also be some of the most important factors in enjoying leisure time.

Conde Nast Traveler announced the friendliest countries in the world. They asked their readers to vote for the friendliest travel experiences around the world. Although Japan is highly respected for its warmth and friendship, the country did not make the rankings at all. Brits who like to queue up and make small talk about the weather were also missing from the list, with no country in the UK included.

Thailand and Seychelles were tied for the top 10. A popular destination for solo travelers and backpackers in Southeast Asia, Thailand is known as the ‘Land of Smiles’. Thai people are known for their friendly nature and welcoming attitude, making this a country worth visiting.

Seychelles may be one of the smallest on the list, but the islanders made the list because of their thoughtful and welcoming attitude. The country, one of the most luxurious and expensive destinations, has even hosted royal families. It was the royals’ haven of choice when Prince William and Princess Kate boarded a private jet to spend their honeymoon in the sun.

Mauritius and Chile, striking in another tiebreak, took the next places. The island has pristine beaches and friendly people who are proud of their country. Chile was the only South American country with a vibrant culture and openly loving residents.

Vietnam, ranked sixth, offers emerald bays and incredible cuisine. Locals are known for being attuned to the sidewalk culture, making street corners an established place for socializing. The magnificent country Cambodia took the fifth place, leaving Vietnam behind. As a Theravada Buddhist country, the culture is based on giving unconditional love to all beings. This means every visitor is greeted with the same heart-warming kindness.

South Asian country Bhutan missed the podium. Their government introduced the Gross National Happiness Index to ensure that all policies are made with a happiness-based approach. Residents are willing to share their happiness with visitors, earning a reputation for kindness and warmth.

Mexico, the colorful country that won the bronze medal, came third with its friendship. As the country with the largest population, with over 130 million citizens, tourists can expect a crowd of friendly faces. Luxury Barbados wins silver with locals offering excellent hospitality and helpfulness to those lucky enough to visit this tranquil paradise.

A surprising African country won the cup. Kenya, known for its majestic wildlife and five-star resorts, came in first. Kenyan people pride themselves on being social and friendly towards tourists. Their cordial greeting “Karibu Kenya” is used to welcome visitors and thank them for their visit. It is no surprise that this compassionate country comes out on top.
