A mother who left her husband and three children for a toy child with a Masai fighter in Kenya shared her deep regrets about marriage. 65 -year -old Cheryl Thomasgood decided to leave her second husband and move to a mud hut with 10 -year -old Daniel Lekimencho after falling in love with her during a package holiday.

He was loved by his charisma and spirituality, and at the age of 34 in 1994, he decided to leave his children behind on Wight Island for a life in the distant Samburu region of Kenya. The mother of the three dived into Daniel’s culture, including cooking on outdoor fires and eating traditional masai foods.

However, after the couple returned to Wight Island in 1995, the cracks in the relationship began to form rapidly.

Wearing traditional Masai clothes, he started hopefully because they got married on Valentine’s Day, Creryl met with his children again, and a year later he had another daughter Mitsi, but he says that the relationship began to solve rapidly.

Daniel danced for tourists, who once danced on the Masai tradition and who had previously met Cheryl at Bamburi Beach Hotel in Mombasa, is increasingly worried with material wealth and status.

“I felt just a meal ticket. I made a big mistake and I regret it.”

A larger house to send Daniel home to relatives in Kenya claims that he has begun to chase designer clothes and money.

“The greatest regret was the effect on my children. Daniel tried, but he could not be the father they needed. They missed to have a stable male figure.”

The couple left only four years after their marriage, which stemmed from the pressure of cultural differences and assimilating on British life.

Cheryl now realizes that the decision -changing decision is directed by the desire to find spiritual recovery for childhood trauma, but Daniel and Daniel once faded as the arguments grow.

Now he lives in a coastal town in 65 and Somerset, he makes peace with his decision, and his four children have strong relationships: Steve, 43, Tommy, 41, Chloe, 34 and Mitsi, 27.

However, the mother called on to be “careful” for “regret for the rest of their lives” that she would never marry and watch the holiday romance.

He described Mitsi as the only good thing from the relationship, but called his three marriages “hat-trick of disasters”.

Daniel stayed in England after leaving and now works in a supermarket on Wight Island.
