We’re in an AI ‘super cycle,’ top investor says — and it could last 20 years

According to a senior investor, artificial intelligence is the early period of a “super loop” that can last for 20 years.
Raj Ganguly, the founding partner and CEO of the initiative capital company B Capital, said CNBC released the “Beyond The Valley” podcast on Friday.
“We are at very early stages of the third or fourth year of this AI super cycle. And probably a 20 -year super cycle. Maybe a 15 -year super cycle, but it will change the world.” He said.
A super cycle is often defined as a long permanent growth period in a market.
The AI super cycle, “will change the world in every aspect, Gang said Ganguly, how drugs are developed or in the labor market,” deep changes “will see.
Microsoft -supported Openai’nin November 2022 published Chatgpt and large companies poured billions of dollars into technology, the world as an important factor, he said that a “different” super cycle.
Ganguly described the three “largest change” he has seen since he started working in the technology sector in the late 1990s. The Silicon Valley said that with the emergence of productive AI, he had “returned greatly”. However, the region pointed out that the global technology ecosystem accounts to 80% to 90%, while Ganguly said that it is now less than half of its market share, but it is still “still big”.
The second tendency clicking on the technology industry is that single founders can now be successful without having to buy equipment or rent programmers, because AI can help create and coding without knowing how to be built and coded. The previous technology explosion focuses on consumer companies such as Amazon and Meta, while the next 10 years will be about “deep” technology like productive AI and advanced semiconductors.
“This is a lot about reshaping the industries less touched by technology for the next decade and goes far beyond the consumer [tech]”Ganguly said.

B Capital focuses on deep technology that holds companies in health and climate sectors as part of the portfolio with AI.
Ganguly described India as a market that built local applications that can work with any major language model (LLM).
“Now I think where opportunities and snow pools will be, [is] This AI is in the layer of domestic application. ” You will see that some of these companies built in India have market leaders in markets such as US and Europe in the next five years. “
When asked if the excitement on the AI caused a part of the market to be “foamy”, Ganguly said: “I think we’re on a bit of a bubble … You’re foaming because people think you’ll change the world in the next five years. [but] It always takes longer than people think. “
Born in India and grew up in the United States, Ganguly said that he was “flying” with his innovation after returning to Asia to work for Bain Capital in 2009.
As for the Silicon Valley, he said that people in Asia have copied successful US business models and brought them to India or China. Instead, what Ganguly said he saw was “basic innovation” in Asian countries.
He founded B Capital in 2015 with Facebook co -founder Eduardo Saverin.
Ganguly, Ganguly, Ganguly, Ganguly, Ganguly, often, the founders in the United States often, Hey, you know, you want to know what the last thing in China or India. ” He said.
