Stalker jailed for luring men on Tinder to ex-partner’s home with fake rape fantasy

A man has been jailed for eight years for creating a fake Tinder profile of his ex-partner to lure men to his home to rape her.

Asad Hussain, 36, persuaded 35 men to visit the woman’s home, claiming she harbored a “rape fantasy”; once all three came at the same time. Chester Crown Court heard he instructed some of them to “push the porch door hard” to get inside.

The court was told Hussain had a brief relationship with the victim, which began in April 2024.

She ended relationships due to her increasing jealousy, possessiveness, and controlling nature, which included constant questioning about other men.

The court heard the man repeatedly came to her home late at night to check on her and once injured his arm when he fell while trying to grab her phone.

Hussain then contacted his daughter and her friends, accusing her of cheating and made multiple attempts to rekindle the relationship.

Multiple men then started showing up at her home address, and she said she invited them after they matched on Tinder.

Others said they received messages telling her she wanted to fulfill a “rape fantasy” and were led to believe that if she said “no” it meant she “wanted it more”.

Hussain, of Heald Green, Cheadle, used multiple mobile phones as part of his scam and parked them near his victim's home to operate the fake account.

The court heard one of the men forced open the patio door and broke in, breaking the glass panel.

Hussain, of Heald Green, Cheadle, used multiple mobile phones as part of his scam and parked them near his victim’s home to operate the fake account.

He was found guilty by the jury of harassment, assault and failure to disclose the pin of the iPad seized during the investigation.

In a court statement read by prosecutor Jemma Gordon on Monday, the victim said: “My home, my safe space, was violated entirely because one person created a completely fictional narrative.

“I only know him by the name he gave me, Mick Renney. He lied to me from day one.”

“It was an absolute miracle that one of these men didn’t hurt me, but I have mental scars that will take a long time to heal.

“Who will come knocking on my door? Is this really over? How many people still have this knowledge? What happens if I run into one of these guys?”

“This is so unfair and just because I said ‘no’ to Assad Hussein. He wanted me isolated, alone and scared.

“It was a terrible ordeal mentally. I can’t sleep, I have trouble eating and I constantly feel in danger.”

Philip Clemo, defending, said his client did not accept the jury’s verdicts and told the author of the pre-sentence report: “I did nothing wrong.”

Judge Michael Leeming also granted Hussain a 15-year restraining order against his victim and their daughter.

Police said the actual number of men tricked into visiting his family’s home was unknown.

Following the sentencing, investigating officer Pc Keith Terrill, of Cheshire Police, said: “Asad Hussain is an extremely controlling and deceptive individual who went to extreme lengths to cause fear and distress to the victim and her children.

“At no point did he take responsibility for his actions. Instead, Hussein chose to repeatedly lie and obstruct the investigation before forcing the victim and witnesses to attend a nine-day hearing.

“The impact on the victim and his family has been devastating. I hope today’s sentence will give them some closure and allow them to start rebuilding their lives.”

“This was one of the most technically complex and disturbing cases of stalking that Cheshire Constabulary has ever investigated. But it shows once again that the internet offers no safe haven for those seeking to commit violence and domestic violence against women and girls.”
