The five finalists of Famous Villains were announced following the action-packed penultimate episode, which featured the apparent sight of a murder and the final roundtable brawl.

Following Celia Imrie’s tragic murder at the start of the episode, Kate Garraway was the latest star to be kicked out of the castle during the exile after she was frequently deemed ‘useless’ throughout the series.

The arguments between the contestants who wanted to catch another Traitor before the finale escalated with David Olusoga and Kate punching each other.

Kate noted that David had previously been accused of being a Traitor, but those accusations have since “evaporated”.

David replied: ‘So it happened. ‘You were the person at the next table who was most persistent in exploring this.’

Earlier in the episode, Celia Imrie became the traitor’s latest victim when she was murdered in plain sight by fan-favorite villain Alan Carr.

She scolded him: ‘I’ll just finish it. ‘I was the only one brave enough to raise him.’

‘When you state a fact, it feels like there’s an implication behind it. ‘Sometimes, David, I feel like you’re insinuating things and it’s just you and then you let everyone turn and look at me and think, why did he do that?’

She told him defiantly: ‘That’s exactly what I’m doing.’ Before arrogantly adding: ‘This is what we have to do. We are stating a fact because you talk like that. That’s exactly what I’m doing.”

Claudia then ended the discussions and asked them to vote.

While Nick Mohammad voted for Cat Burns, David and Cat went for Kate, Alan and Kate voted for David.

Joe Marler received the deciding vote, prompting Kate to send him home as fans rejoiced on social media.

During his exit speech, he revealed that he was loyal to them: ‘I went through a lot of years where I was very serious, very sad, and you all let me play the greatest game, but you also let me play and be silly and have fun.’

After tense discussions, Cat, Alan, Joe, Nick and David rested in the castle, before being taken to the fire pit.

He said: ‘Stephen, he has such a brain and it’s just quotes and everything he says. So what did he say to me before going to bed? Parting is such a sweet sadness, Celia.’

The fatal phrase sealed the fate of the star of Calendar Girls, who was the last contestant to be killed.

When he entered the diary room, he saw a letter on the chair.

Realizing her fate, Celia said: ‘Oh God, this doesn’t bode well. Am I dead?’

The letter said: ‘Dear Celia, you were killed yesterday by the order of traitors, they killed you in front of their eyes.’

For the task, the remaining six players were led into a laser-filled room containing the heads of all the Celebrity Traitors contestants.
