This acquisition comes as the Oregon-based company completes another challenging year in the eyes of investors.

Nike’s shares are down around 19% in 2025, heading into its fourth straight year. The stock has lost nearly half of its value in the last three years.

Nike has recently struggled with weak sales in China and a hit from tariffs, the latest in a series of challenges facing the retailer. The company told its turnaround story under the leadership of Hill, who took on this role last year.

Wall Street seems optimistic that stocks can rebound. The average analyst surveyed by LSEG has a buy rating and price target, suggesting shares could rise about 26% next year.
