The funniest option for Liberal leader

As 2025 becomes 2026, the Australian news cycle continues non-stop. Luckily, if people are after a bit of escapist entertainment that ultimately doesn’t amount to much, there’s tennis or the 2026 Liberal Party to keep us entertained.
Having apparently decided that the only thing wrong was a lack of ambition the last time they split the Coalition – with Liberal leader Sussan Ley grieving the loss of her mother – the Nationals became even more testy last week, withdrawing again on December 15, the day reserved for Australia to mourn those killed at Bondi.
