Woman Sexually Assaulted Near Rourkela Railway Track; Accused and Aide Arrested

BHUBANESWAR: In a disturbing incident reported late last night, a young woman was subjected to sexual assault near the railway rails close to the Raghunathpalli Police Station in the Rourkela City in Sundararh.

According to the first reports, two people, including the main defendant, were detained in relation to the case.

It is said that the incident occurred in the Panposh subsection. Following the complaint of the victim’s woman, the police immediately launched an investigation and caught the suspects. Authorities confirmed that an official investigation continued.

Meanwhile, Panposh sub -section police officer (SDPO) said the police have taken the matter with maximum seriously and collected evidence to create a strong case. The identity of the victim remains confidential in accordance with the standard protocol and reportedly received the necessary medical and psychological support.

This case led to public anger and renewed debate about the security of women in the urban and semi -urban regions of Odisha. The authorities have guaranteed the rapid action and accused them when the investigation ends.
