The Kyle and Jackie O Show and ACMA’s long history of inaction

Kyle and Jackie O’s ShowA massive $200 million morning show loved by some and reviled by many more has been canceled by the Australian Radio Network (ARN) this week following a dispute between the show’s leading couple.

The KIIS program was immediately taken off air on Tuesday, with ARN claiming Kyle Sandilands’ behavior on February 20 – which led to presenter Jackie “O” Henderson leaving and not returning – constituted a “serious act of misconduct”.

Their relationship has since reportedly broken down irrevocably, ending their 27-year broadcast partnership.
