One message read: ‘Happy 60th birthday to one of the strongest women I have ever met… thank you for everything you do for us and the children!
‘Thank you for guiding me through the good times and the bad… You’ve been by my side for 18 years and I truly appreciate it so please put your feet up, relax and enjoy the day.’
Elsewhere, Caroline’s life from birth to the present was documented in a photo collage by her aunt Janet and uncle Eddie with the caption: ‘It seems like just yesterday since you were born Caroline, such a lovely Christmas present made me an aunt for the first time.
