Man Tells Kin, Dies by Suicide

Hyderabad:Anjaneyulu, a 27-year-old resident of Nalgonda, died by suicide after informing a relative of his decision. LB Nagar inspector Vinod Kumar said that the incident took place in Jangayyanagar when Anjaneyulu was staying in a rented room.
The relative who received the message started looking for Anjaneyulu. When there was no response, he informed Anjaneyulu’s brother. They asked a friend to check on Anjaneyulu, who was found dead.
Police said Anjaneyulu completed his bachelor’s degree from Nizam College about seven years ago and was preparing for competitive exams. He had moved to LB Nagar about eight months ago.
Game addict dies by suicide
Hyderabad:Shaikh, a 23-year-old restaurant worker from Bengal, died by suicide in Shamirpet on Friday evening, police said. Deputy Inspector Somi Reddy said Shaikh came to the city four months ago and was working in a restaurant and was staying in a room above the restaurant.
Police said Shaikh had recently become addicted to online gaming and was reported to have lost money. “It was the first time he was away from his family and felt lonely. We suspect that financial stress and emotional isolation may have led to this extreme step,” SI said.
Around 5.30 pm, Shaikh reportedly locked himself in his room and died by suicide. When he did not show up for his 18:00 duty, his colleagues tried to call him, but his phone was turned off. A staff member then went upstairs and knocked on the door several times. When they received no answer, they broke open the plastic plate fixed to the door and found him dead.
Grudge killed man due to excessive drinking and abuse
Hyderabad: A 55-year-old man was killed allegedly by his wife Buggamma, younger son Raju and relative Shekhar in Devendernagar of Medipally’s Boduppal late on Thursday night. Medipally police said the deceased Bandaru Anjaiah was working as a private school bus driver.
Police said Anjaiah was addicted to alcohol and frequently harassed and physically assaulted his family members. On Thursday night, the trio allegedly strangled Anjaiah to death. Her daughter Pooja, who tried to stop the attack, was locked in a room.
On Friday morning, Raju informed his elder brother Uday Kiran that their father was lying in the hallway of the house and was unresponsive. The family called the ambulance, which examined Anjaiah and confirmed his death. Based on Pooja’s complaint, the police registered a case of murder.
Police said preliminary investigation showed that the murder occurred as a result of repeated abuse under the influence of alcohol. A detailed investigation into the incident continues.
Ibomma Piracy Kingpin’s 3-Day Detention Ends
Hyderabad:The three-day police surveillance of iBomma hacking leader Immadi Ravi ended here on Saturday, with investigators escorting him to Chanchalguda jail in the evening after undergoing a medical examination.
Sources said investigators obtained crucial evidence against Ravi during interrogation. “He explained the advanced technology he used in piracy and admitted that the movies he uploaded were taken from Telegram and other social media accounts,” a source said.
Police said investigators collected data on his financial transactions and suspected money laundering operations, as well as information on his partner Nikhil. Sources said that forensic and cyber experts, using the information revealed by Ravi, blocked some pirate sites.
Regarding his income, Ravi stuck to his version that he earned 20 crores. When asked what ‘iBomma’ means, sources said it means ‘Internet Bomma’.
Sources said Ravi did not cooperate as per his lawyer’s advice even though investigators placed technical and physical evidence before him during interrogation.
On the first day of police custody, investigators repeatedly questioned Ravi about financial connections and details of international banking transactions; Ravi either gave conflicting information or flatly refused to answer.
Man Caught on Cheating Charges
Hyderabad:Saidabad police arrested Muhammad Sahed Alam, a native of Bihar’s Patna district, who posed as Indian Air Force (IAF) and duped many aspirants seeking jobs in the service. The accused told the police that he always used camouflage uniforms with IAF badges to fool the candidates.
Saidabad inspector Gnaneshwar said he claimed that he not only cheated on several female aspirants but also trapped them in the name of love and extorted money from them. Alam claimed that he contacted the highest echelons of the IAF to influence the candidates.
Police said Alam came to the city three years ago and was a resident of Malakpet. He was being questioned about his uniform and fake ID card. Alam was sent to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station.
DCP Says Explosion Occurred Due to Compressor Explosion
Hyderabad:South zone DCP Kiran Khare on Saturday said that the explosion at Gomati Electronics outlet earlier this week was due to a compressor explosion. He warned social media users against conspiracy theories about the explosion.
Speaking to the press after examining the field, Khare said that store owner Shiv Kumar Bansal and an unidentified person died in the explosion, and seven other people escaped danger.
Later, FSL, fire and police officials inspected other electronics stores in the southern region and urged store owners to adopt fire safety norms to prevent further fire accidents.
