RSPCA’s wackiest animal rescues of 2025, like a fox trapped in a chair | UK | News

The RSPCA has revealed the craziest animal rescues of 2025; These include a fox stuck in a chair and a seagull blown 180 miles inland. Dramatic pictures show unfortunate pets and wild animals stranded in strange places before being freed by stunned rescuers.
The charity has compiled a list of the strangest rescues of 2025, with RSPCA chief Simon Osborne explaining: “Every day throughout the year, our teams rescue, rehabilitate and rehome hundreds of animals with very special backgrounds and stories of triumph over adversity.”
The family’s beloved dog, a 13-year-old Labrador named Daisy, was reunited with her owners Rita and Philip Potter. NorfolkThe emotional reunion ended the couple’s eight-year search after it was stolen from their garden in 2017. Daisy, who went missing when she was five, was found by RSPCA Inspector Kim Walters during routine investigations in Weston-Super-Mare. The dog was found neglected with untreated mammary masses and the owner agreed to hand him over to the RSPCA. Microchip scanning revealed Daisy had been stolen and allowed the RSPCA to contact her original delighted owners.
