‘The only thing he cares of is cost/benefit’

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is known safely Tesla will receive for many attempts such as X and SpaceX for expected developments.

Some of them, as an effort to push the goals that may be a new motivation, a new Sieve Editorial argued that some of these ambitious, unprecedented promises seemed to be an expression of optimism and more intentional deception.

On Thursday, Electrek’s editor -in -chief Fred Lambert published an article triggered by Musk’s change with Tesla investor and Musk Acollyte Sawyer Merritt.

Four days ago, Merritt tweeted A short clip from an interview with Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi. In the cropped segment, an interviewer asked Khosrowshahi that autonomous electric vehicles will come close.

In response to a question about whether Waymo’s multiple sensor approach would come out on top or whether Tesla’s “Camera Only” installation will reign, Khosrowshahi alone doubted that the cameras could bring “superhuman security levels”.

Musk answered He challenges Merritt to buy Khosrowshahi.

“Lidar and radar reduces security due to sensor strife.… This sensor uncertainty is reduced, causing an increase of risk, Mus Musk partly said.

The conversation caught Lambert’s eye and reminded him of a debate with Musk in 2021. Lambert had a problem that Musk characterized Lidar and radar sensors as “more dangerous” from Tesla’s “more dangerous” than the camera system.

“This is not just wrong, Musk said to me that the radar and vision can only be safer than the vision, just after Tesla’s radars from their vehicles.”

He added the screenshots of the conversation to support his claim.

“We’re at 2025 at the moment, and unlike Musk’s claim, Tesla has not yet fulfilled its own driving promises, but CEO only doubles its vision approach.”
