The president, who has tried to pin political violence on “the left,” ran into a reality check Monday.
President Donald Trump’s narrative on political violence drowned on Monday when a reporter faced him with a list of right -wing attacks on the democrats. Since the right -wing activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated in Utah last week, he sharply raised his “left” attacks and accused the corridor for political violence. On Sunday, he told reporters, “If you look at the problem, the problem is on the left. Not on the right,” he said. “When you look at the agitators, you look at the filth that speaks very badly from our country, the American flag is everywhere – this is left. This is not true.”
