New policy To Address Long-Standing Issues

: The state government will adopt a comprehensive policy to resolve long-standing issues related to Service Inam lands.
Revenue, Registration and Stamp Minister Anagani Satya Prasad said committees comprising Devasthanam officials and collectors have been formed for in-depth study of these lands. Will submit a report within 45 days.
The government will seriously consider the report, with the input of the prime minister, before coming up with a final solution to these problems.
A ‘ministerial group’ meeting was held at the secretariat on Friday, where reforms in the revenue system were discussed. Ministers Anagani Satya Prasad, P Narayana, Payyavula Keshav and NMD Farook attended the session.
The meeting also discussed the flagship Andariki Illu (housing for all) project. Minister Anagani highlighted the trips undertaken by the CM and minister Lokesh to attract industry and investments to the state. He emphasized the need for a sound land allocation policy for industries and other needs.
The policy framework will be announced soon. Discussions included regulation of preliminary land conservation issues and a comprehensive review of foundation lands.
Urban development minister P Narayana detailed the TIDCO housing schemes and stated that during 2014-19, the then Telugu Desam government approved seven lakh houses with all amenities and gave administrative approval for five lakh units. However, he claimed that the YSRC government reduced it to 2.6 lakh units as it could not complete it.
Narayana said the Prime Minister has ordered completion of all 2.6 lakh TIDCO houses by next June to ensure justice for the poor.
At the meeting, what needed to be done to achieve this goal was also discussed. Housing minister K Parthasaradhi spoke about the CM’s vision of providing houses and plots to all eligible poor families. The meeting discussed allocating two or three cent plots to program beneficiaries instead of the previous government’s practice of giving only half or one cent plots.
If no houses are built on the allocated lands, beneficiaries will be compensated with larger lands to ensure their use.
Parthasaradhi confirmed the government’s commitment to allocate houses to journalists and build houses for them. He drew attention to the legal obstacles caused by the Supreme Court decision and said that the opinion of the Chief Public Prosecutor was taken. The official said that after receiving these documents, the government will take further decisions in consultation with the CM.
The meeting ended with the decision to pursue policies that ensure land allocation issues are resolved efficiently and the completion of TIDCO housing is accelerated.
