NHS is treating children like lab rats – this sheer madness must stop | UK | News

Why do we treat our children like a generation of lab rats to be experimented on with consequences that last the rest of their lives? So what does “our” NHS think it is doing by participating in this? More than 200 children, some as young as eight, will be given puberty blockers as part of a study of gender-questioning children, it has been revealed. This needs to be stopped.

It’s part of growing up for all of us to question our identity. I was never a tomboy, but many girls were and grew up to become wives and mothers; If they had been part of this terrible experiment they would have been denied it. Likewise, many young children have experimented in the dressing room before becoming captains of industry. My (very alpha) husband likes to brag that his first talent is makeup. Children go through stages. This is what being a child is like.

And the job of the parents and the older generation is to watch over them and protect them until this happens, not to give them drugs that will stunt their growth and make them sterile. Former staff at the now discredited Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust have written to Health Secretary Wes Streeting, who has previously banned the drugs, saying this trial should be banned immediately. How could anyone in their right mind think this should continue?

We don’t need a trial. We have already seen what these drugs can do. There have been cases where people who have “changed” their gender have come forward to express their regrets; In most cases there is no turning back. So why announce this now, just as the world is starting to see sense in the trans issue?

Yes, a small percentage of people suffer from gender dysphoria and they should be treated with compassion and respect, but we have reached the stage of putting male rapists in women’s prisons. Total madness and now this.

If this continues, some (or all) of these children will be harmed for life. And I sincerely hope they sue “our” NHS and everyone involved. This is child abuse pure and simple, all to satisfy the curiosity of a few adults. And I hope they pay for it.
