Plan to establish Foundation help desks in all states
All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has decided to set up Waqf help desks that will help in uploading details of Waqf properties on the UMEED portal. The issue was discussed at the AIMPLB meeting held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, where various issues were discussed.
A detailed discussion was held regarding the process of registering foundation properties to the UMEED Portal. The Board received several complaints from various states and Trustees (board of trustees) stating that the portal was difficult to use as it crashed frequently and even uploading a single property document took about 40-45 minutes.
To solve this problem, it was decided to establish Foundation help desks to provide assistance in all States.
The board also approached the Supreme Court seeking a user-friendly portal and extension of the deadline for uploading details.
