Vedanta chairperson Anil Agarwal’s son Agnivesh dies in U.S. at 49

Agnivesh Agarwal, eldest son of mining billionaire and Vedanta Plc founder Anil Agarwal, passed away in the USA. He was 49 years old.

Mr. Agnivesh, who was on the board of Vedanta group company Talwandi Sabo Power Limited (TSPL), was injured in a skiing accident and was recovering when he died of a heart attack.

Today is the darkest day of my life.

Anil Agarwal has two children: late son Agnivesh and daughter Priya, who is a member of the Board of Directors of Vedanta and chairman of Hindustan Zinc Limited.
