The VCE English exam question that had some students rejoicing
Herbie said that he was nervous before the exam, but that changed when he opened the booklet.

Fellow student Noah Regassa said he was pleased with the answers.
“It went pretty well for me, of course it’s different for everyone, but I think the directions suited me… it’s a little frustrating coming in, but I think I did pretty well,” he said.
Sylvie Ward said many of the themes in her text response were interrelated, making it easier for her to respond.
“I also feel like I did pretty well, I was confident that once I sat down it would all come back to me and I feel like it did, so I’m pretty happy,” he said.
Other students on social media also stated that there were similar questions on the subject in the exam. King Oedipus As they have already completed School Assessed Courses (SAC).
Last year, 65 of the test papers were mistakenly made public ahead of VCE exams, prompting a review by the state’s school examination authority.
The crisis deepened when it emerged that officials knew there were problems with some exam papers a month before they were made public in November 2024.
The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority has been contacted for comment on the similarity of Tuesday’s exam question.
Adding to the stress for some students, a line fault near Kooyong station resulted in the suspension of Glen Waverley line services between Burnley and Darley stations. Buses replaced trains and train services resumed after the exam start time of 9am.
A spokesman for the examination authority said there were no reports of students missing their exams due to train disruptions.
“Students who are late for the exam due to transportation issues or other circumstances will be allowed to begin the exam and will be given full time to complete the exam,” the spokesperson said.
