The View audience bursts into laughter after guest host claims Trump ‘does not get coerced by other nations’

Appearance Guest host Sara Eisen defended Donald Trump’s decision to make this decision. USA goes to war with Iranresulting in audience laughter and the panel being pushed back.

Eisen, 41, a CNBC news anchor, is taking over this week as regular host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is currently on maternity leave. On Wednesday’s episode of the talk show, Eisen addressed the recent decision by the director of the National Counterterrorism Center to leave his position.

Joe Kent announced his resignation in X, writing that he “cannot in conscience support the ongoing war in Iran” because Iran “does not pose an imminent threat to our country.” He added that it was “clear” that the US war against Iran was launched “due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby”.

Reacting to Kent’s message, Eisen said: “I think it’s disrespectful and wrong to assume that the United States and the president – especially this president, whatever you think of him – is not acting on behalf of his own institution and on behalf of the United States of America.”

Fellow hosts Sara Haines and Whoopi Goldberg joined in, laughing and arguing that many of Trump’s decisions were based on personal interest. Eisen continued, before being interrupted by co-host Sunny Hostin: “I guess that’s what we should call it.” “Don’t you think this corrupt president is acting in his own interests?”

“I’m saying he’s acting; he’s not being pressured by other countries like Israel,” Eisen replied, as the studio audience burst into laughter.

“Really?!” Hostin said in disbelief. “If this helps you sleep at night, great,” he added with a sly grin.

Eisen also insisted that Kent’s messages perpetuated the “old-school, anti-Semitic trope of blaming Jews and Israel.”

“As old as time,” he continued. “When you have problems in the world, blame the media, blame the bankers, blame the Jews. And that is absolutely antisemitic. I think we should call it what it is.”

Explaining that he thought Kent’s statement and retraction were antisemitic, he noted: “He doesn’t blame the president. He blames Israel.”

Independent Kent’s representative has been contacted for comment.

Eisen is best known for co-hosting CNBC programs squealing in the street And Money Carriers. She serves as a substitute guest this week, replacing Farah Griffin, who has been on maternity leave since giving birth to her first child in February.

A number of conservative guest hosts, including Savannah Chrisley and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, are filling in for Farah Griffin, one of the talk show’s main Republican voices.
