The world’s oldest person awaits birthday call from the King | UK | News

The oldest person will celebrate his 116th birthday at a Surrey care house as long as the king is looking for.
Ethel Caterham became the oldest living in April after the death of Brazilian nun sister Inah Canbarro Lucas.
On Thursday, he will celebrate his birthday in Lightwater and will take the day “at his own speed” surrounded by his family.
Ms. Caterham was born on August 21, 1909 five years before the beginning of the First World War, Hampshire was born in Shipton Bellinger as the second youngest of eight brothers.
This is Edward VII, who died in May 1910.
In 1931, he met his husband Norman, who was great in the British army at a dinner party.
They were placed in Hong Kong and Gibraltar and had two children. GRG (Gerontology Research Group) said that her husband died in 1976.
Care House Spokesperson said: “Ethel and his family are very grateful for all the gentle messages and interest shown to him while celebrating his 116th birthday this year.
“Ethel chose not to interview again, chose to spend the day quietly with his family, so he can enjoy his own speed.
“The king could be his only privilege, understandable. Thank you again for your kind wishes on this special day.”
Last year, a birthday card was sent to Mrs. Caterham by Charles to mark her 115th birthday.
According to Guinness World Records, the title of the oldest person so far is held by the French woman Jeanne Calment, who lived up to 122 years and 164 days.
