Woman, Twins Die in Suspected Murder-Suicide

Hyderabad: A 27-year-old woman allegedly killed her twin children before committing suicide here on Tuesday, police said.

Allegedly, the woman, a housewife, strangled her twin children, a son (2) and a daughter (2), at her home around 4 in the morning, using a pillow and jumped from the fourth floor of the building.

Some citizens noticed the woman’s body on the road and informed the police.

Initial investigation revealed that the woman was married to a software employee in August 2022. The couple was fighting over minor issues. Police suspect that the victim resorted to the extreme step due to frustration and distress arising from family discord.

The woman’s father filed a complaint with the police, accusing his son-in-law of abetting the woman’s suicide, and a lawsuit was subsequently filed. Further investigation is ongoing.
