This Hong Kong Dim Sum Spot Is Cheap, Tasty and Has a Michelin Star

(Bloomberg) – Everyone in Hong Kong is a Trifecta when it comes to eating outside. In English, roughly becomes the following: affordable, beautiful and delicious. Add a Michelin star to the mixture and you really have an unrivaled combination.
I hate sharing one of my favorite dim sum. I don’t say it was underestimated (see star), but it went out enough (Read: Not on Hong Kong Island).
Yacht Tung Heen is an unexpected jewel in the basement of Eaton Hotel, entrance from the moving Nathan Road. The canton restaurant is perfect in bringing a bending to Dim Sum staples by playing with materials such as combs that can be found on Siu Mai hill in other meatballs and rice rolls. The food has always been a pleasure – delicious and precisely prepared – and the menu frequently changed to include new materials.
Oh, and that’s an agreement. When religious Tai Fung and Tim Ho Wan lost the stars of Michelin in Hong Kong, it became significantly difficult to find a starry meal in a budget (of course there is still Ho Kee). Yacht Tung Heen for years, lunchtime rushed an incredible week. In the current menu, Dim Sum dishes start from $ 38 hk ($ 4,84) and go to $ 98 hk. For my appetite, 48-hk $ 58 is a sweet point. To refresh my research, I recently visited with two guests for lunch on Tuesday, coming to $ 600 for a total of nine products, for tea and service.
Vibe: A stylish and spacious restaurant with large round tables for large groups or two parties. The luxury tea house decor was inspired by Shanghai Taverns from the 1920s, on wooden panels, tiles and stained glass walls.
Who is with you: Families, couples and large groups, usually on the more comfortable side, the crowd of lunch. In addition to the Dim Sum agreement, the lunch set is also popular. Starting from $ 398 hk, there is a Dim Sum plate and then it looks like an obscene food.
Can you have a meeting here? Yes. There is plenty of space between the tables and plays uncomfortable jazz in a low volume in the background.
We have already ordered all the “special” dim sum elements, especially the sea cucumbers and combats with vegetables. Wok-Fried Turnip Cake-It is the best version of small cubes on the top with XO sauce and aromatic. Even though I admit that there are more delicious egg tarts, I always order what happened here because the bird nest is on top. I also have a soft point for classics, preferred Char Siu Bao, steamed on more fashionable cooked ones. If I was honest, I’d probably order everything again.
