This Is When Elon Musk’s Humanoid Robots Are Expected to Release

Elon Musk said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that Tesla plans to make its Optimus humanoid robots available to the public by the end of 2027 and set a goal for the program. In a conversation with BlackRock CEO Larry Fink on Thursday, Jan. 22, he said it could be Tesla’s most valuable product and outlined uses in workforce shortages, including elder care and home management. Giga said about 1,200 humanoid robots have been deployed in Texas for logistics and assembly, and more complex tasks are expected by the end of the year. Musk added that initial production will be “painfully slow” due to the S-curve ramp and new components. He said public availability depends on “very high” security and functionality thresholds and cited broader economic impacts, according to Fox Business.
