Man dead and woman in hospital after Clissold Park shooting

A man was killed and a woman was in the hospital after what the police described as a “deeply sad event” in a North London park.
Police and medical officials were called to Stoke Newington at 19:00 on Wednesday at 19:00, where they both found the couple in their 40s with weapons wounds.
The man was pronounced dead in the hospital. The female continues to receive hospital treatment, but her condition is unknown.
Det Supt Oliver Richter said: “We are in the first stages of the investigation, but we believe that men and women are known to each other, and we are now considered an isolated event and there is no wider risk for the public.”
“We understand that this is a deeply sad event for the relevant people, witnesses in the park and the surrounding community.”
The fiery weapon was rescued and a crime location.
The police are trying to communicate with their relatives.
The Hackney Council said that the park would remain closed on Thursday morning and “support the police in investigations.”
