Three mothers died in crash after the BMW 5 series they were passengers in careered off A-road, inquest told

The investigation stated that three mothers died in a traffic accident that occurred after the BMW 5 Series in which they were passengers collided with a single vehicle.
Virashi Chauhan, 39, Neeru Patel and Bhamini Karsan, both 42, died at the scene on the southbound A46 motorway on December 13, 2025.
The inquest heard the blue BMW, with the women inside, left the southbound main road between Thrussington and Sileby at around 1am.
An official cause of death has not yet been determined as Leicestershire Police investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The fourth person in the vehicle at that time was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The inquest heard Ms Chauhan, of Syston, was the company secretary, while Patel, of Thurmaston, was the marketing manager.
Meanwhile, Karsan, who lives in Syston, was also the office manager.
Deputy district coroner Sophie Lomas adjourned the inquest into the deaths of the three mothers until July 22 for a review hearing.
Neeru Patel, 42, died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the A46 on December 13, 2025.
Following the incident, 42-year-old Bhamini Karsan, who was a passenger in the blue BMW, also died at the scene.

He added that autopsy examinations were conducted within a week of the accident. Ms Lomas expressed her “sincere condolences” to the women’s families.
Following the incident, the 37-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was released under investigation as the police force continued their investigation.
It comes after the heartbroken families of Ms Patel and Ms Bhamini paid tribute to the ‘loving’ and ‘sacrificing’ mothers.
In a touching tribute, Ms Patel’s family described her as someone who lived ‘a life of love, compassion and quiet faith, dedicated above all to caring for her family and others’.
‘His gentle spirit and selfless kindness touched so many in our world in ways that are often unseen but deeply felt,’ they added.
‘Although he is no longer with us, his love, kindness and values live on through his two beautiful children and in the hearts of everyone who knew him.’
Ms Karsan’s family said the 42-year-old woman will be remembered for her ‘warm and cheerful personality and kindness towards others’.

‘He was deeply loved by his family and cherished by his friends and the wider community.
‘At this extremely difficult time, the family respectfully but firmly requests privacy and space to grieve, and asks that their wishes be fully respected by the media and public.’
In a tribute published by a family member, Ms Chauhan was described as a ‘beloved wife’, a ‘dedicated mother’ and a ‘treasured daughter’.
