Three prisoners charged with murder of child killer Kyle Bevan

West Yorkshire Police said prisoners Mark Fellows, 45, Lee Newell, 56, and David Taylor, 63, were charged with murdering child killer Kyle Bevan at HMP Wakefield on Wednesday.

They were taken into custody and will appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Bevan was jailed for life after murdering his partner’s two-year-old daughter Lola James in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, in 2020. He was jailed for at least 28 years after inflicting devastating head injuries on the toddler during a six-hour attack.

A Prison Service spokesman previously said: “The death of HMP Wakefield prisoner Kyle Bevan was confirmed on 5 November.

“We cannot comment further while the police investigation is ongoing.”
