Three Thai soldiers injured by landmine on border with Cambodia, army says | Thailand

Since the Thai army accused the neighboring country of erecting secret weapons in violation of international law, three Thai soldiers were injured on Saturday after a land mine was worn along the border with Cambodia.
The incident, where a Thai sergeant major was subjected to serious injuries, came two days after the countries’ commitments to the ceasefire that ended a short but intensive period of struggle. Cambodia refuses to blame.
The army’s statement clearly showed that the incident occurred in Thailand’s Sisaken province and that “both domestic and international society, the use of weapons hidden in the border areas continues to exist and that the Ottawa congress was clearly violated to the Cambodian side”.
The Ottawa Convention is an international agreement that prohibits the use of land mines signed by 164 countries, including Cambodia and Thailand.
The event on Saturday prevents high tensions, although it decides to end the armed conflict on 29 July.
Last month, a five -day fight broke out. The clashes, which killed at least 43 people on both sides of the border and have been over 260,000 displaced, have become the worst struggle among neighboring countries for more than a decade.
Since the ceasefire was accepted, both sides have accused of violating the other. With a mixture of disinformation, threats and nationalism, anger is mixed online, while relationships remain rocky.
Two days after the two sides came together in Malaysia to sign a 13 -point agreement on implementing the ceasefire, the statement of the Thai Army said that the incident on Saturday, the implementation of cease -fire measures and the peaceful solution of the problems, said.
Cambodia strongly rejected new secret weapons. “We do not plant new land mines and we will not,” he said.
He said Cambodia has cleaned more than 1 million mines and more than about 3 million unrest, which began in 1970 and lasted for more than thirty years and civil unrest.
According to the Thai Army, Thailand sergeant Major lost his left foot in the incident on Saturday, two privileges were less seriously injured.
